Matt Mowers

Matt Mowers

U.S. Congress

At the U.S. Department of State, Matt Mowers saw first-hand how oppressive socialist regimes have eroded the freedoms of their own citizens, but also how strong and decisive American leadership can serve as a symbol of hope for those around the world. Now Matt sees America’s freedoms fading because of radical socialists in Washington – and he is running for Congress to fight back and protect those liberties for future generations of Granite Staters.

Matt is running for Congress to usher in a new generation of innovative conservative leadership, while taking on Nancy Pelosi and the socialist Democrats who want New Hampshire’s taxpayers to foot the bill for their radical agenda.

Matt knows that America can best lead the world when it takes care of the needs of its own citizens first. In Congress, he will prioritize building the wall to stop the influx of illegal drugs, lowering prescription drug costs, supporting small businesses by lowering taxes and reducing burdensome regulation, protecting the dignity of all lives including the unborn, passing new trade deals to help New Hampshire’s workers and economy, protecting our second amendment rights, and standing up for our veterans.

My background has been in business management. I started in sales then became Sales and Operations manager for a medium sized corporation. For the next 30 years I owned my own Sales and Marketing business. I have now retired and think my background offers the people in Ward 2 a Conservative Voice in Concord.

I strongly believe that because I have a strong business background I offer the Voters in Ward 2 a Representative who will know how and when to spend their Tax Dollars. I would be a Rep who would actually be in Concord when they are in session!

I chose to make the Granite State my home in no small part because of its low tax burden, friendliness to business and entrepreneurship and its “Live Free or Die” culture. State Representative, Hillsborough 17

Having served two terms as your State Representative in the past on the Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services Committee, I am confident that I have what it takes to best represent YOU in Concord. Part of what makes me a good legislator is my willingness to listen to differing views, have an open dialogue with other legislators and constituents, and make informed decisions.

I believe that less is more when it comes to government. Less government overreach into your personal lives, fewer regulations on individuals and businesses, less spending which results in lower taxes.  I look forward to returning to Concord to represent the people and businesses here in Ward 10 and work diligently to make NH an even greater place to live, work and raise a family.

I’m the office manager for long-time South Main St. small business, J&R Langley. As a former business owner, I know what it is like for businesses to struggle to make ends meet so they can profit and provide good paying jobs. I helped build Manchester’s Dog Park – with donations & volunteers, not tax dollars. I coordinated the collection of thousands of signatures for the Tax & Spending Cap. I am a member of the NRA and the NH Liberty Alliance.

For more than 23 years, I have been proud to call West Manchester my home – where Dan and I live with Bailey the cat and our rescue dog, Jenny. We enjoy kayaking, camping & hiking all across Manchester and our beautiful state.

After 22 years, living in Ward 5 and raising my family, I began to notice fundamental changes, in our City and State, that threatened the safety and prosperity of all Manchester families. This was my impetus to run for Public office. As a former State Representative and 4 year member of the Manchester School Board, I know what it takes to be positive, effective and unifying. Those qualities are desperately needed in the New Hampshire House. I have advocated for many parents and their children, while on the Manchester School Board. Party affiliation didn’t matter, common sense constituent services did.

Hillsborough County Commissioner

Toni Pappas

Toni Pappas

Hillsborough County Commissioner

I presently serve as Chair of the Hillsborough County Commission. I served three terms in the NH State Legislature and as a Delegate to the 1984 NH Constitutional Convention. I chaired the 1996 Manchester Charter Commission. I am presently Chair of the Manchester Highway Commission. I serve on many non-profit Boards such as Manchester Community Health Center, Manchester Historic Association, Manchester Rotary, and Network 4 Health. I am a Senior Account Executive at Business NH Magazine. I am a graduate of Rutgers University. I enjoy serving my community to the best of my ability.

I would like to continue delivering vital County services at the lowest possible cost to the taxpayer. A fiscal conservative, I will successfully administer a debt-free 96 million dollar budget which meets the needs of Hillsborough County citizens.

I am running for reelection because I would like to continue addressing the serious impact Covid-19 is having upon the operations of Hillsborough County. Luckily our Jail and other County offices are Covid free, but our Nursing Home is dealing with the overwhelming pressure of positive Covid cases. I believe I have the strength, experience and leadership ability to help solve the problems brought on by this pandemic.

This year, I’m pleased to report that our budget is debt free with no tax increase. As a proven fiscal conservative and a good custodian of your tax dollars, my future goals are to protect the health of our seniors, fight against the drug epidemic which brings inmates into our jail, oversee our county departments and continue to deliver vital County services at the lowest possible cost to the taxpayer.

Hillsborough County Attorney

John J. Coughlin

John J. Coughlin

Hillsborough County Attorney

The prior Republican Hillsborough County Attorney, Dennis Hogan, is not running and has endorsed me. I retired as a Senior Judge in the NH Circuit Court in January, 2020 so that I could run for this office. I grew up in Nashua, attended local public schools and graduated from UNH in Durham. I joined the US Marine Corps and served as a judge advocate. After my active duty in the Marines, I returned to the Nashua area and practiced law for about 20 years. I served as a NH Human Rights Commissioner for 13 years which included the position of Chairman for 8 years.

I was elected as Hillsborough County Attorney in 2002 and served in that position until my NH Army National Guard unit, the 197th FA Brigade, was deployed to Iraq where I served as Brigade Judge Advocate. I was nominated and confirmed as a Judge in the NH District Court and later Circuit Court from 2004 until my retirement in 2020. I volunteered to return to Iraq in 2007 and again in 2010-2011.  I retired from the National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel in July, 2015.
I am running for Hillsborough County Attorney to restore public trust and confidence in that Office. I will work tirelessly with local law enforcement through effective and professional communication and cooperation. I will provide leadership and competence to the assistant county attorneys and staff. I will strive to insure that all parties who have contact with the Office will be treated with respect and dignity.

I guided the department’s participation in The Commission for Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) program. Dunbarton became the smallest law enforcement agency in the country to maintain this high level of professional recognition during my tenure. I returned to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, serving as the Chief Deputy Sheriff. I was responsible for day to day operations of the agency. I am a certified law enforcement officer currently serving as a deputy sheriff. I’ve been working on a complete revision of the agency’s policy and procedure manual.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. I have attended numerous in-service law enforcement and leadership training programs. It is critical that members of the community have faith in the capabilities of their public safety leaders.

As your Hillsborough County Sheriff I will provide honest, steady, impartial and professional leadership. I will be forward thinking and continually look to improve standards and practices in law enforcement. I will use the experience and knowledge gained from working at and leading nationally accredited agencies to provide the best level of service to the residents of the County. I will put my local and county budget experience to work for you, managing the budget effectively, being mindful of the cost of services and the tax impact to the citizens I serve.

County Treasurer

David G. Fredette

David G. Fredette

Hillsborough County Treasurer

Hello my name is Dave Fredette and I am currently running for re-election as your County Treasurer in Hillsborough County. I am a NH native born and raised in Nashua, in which I still currently reside. I am currently the Treasurer and Tax Collector for the City of Nashua. I have an MBA from Rivier College.

I am running for re-election to continue my service to Hillsborough County after serving for 14 years. The county treasurer is responsible for all funds held by the county. This amount can be as high as $60 to $75 million in the beginning of the calendar year. I will continue to make certain that the County’s money is fully protected. I have been able to return over $2.0 million in excess interest revenues these many years above what was budgeted and will continue to return interest earnings back to the county annually. The investments of funds are extremely important, which consists of the establishment and maintaining of a comprehensive investment policy that includes building solid and strong banking relations within our community.
