John Stephen Endorses Ted Gatsas for Mayor

September 21, 2009, Manchester, NH – The Gatsas for Mayor Campaign has announced the endorsement of John Stephen.  Stephen, a former New Hampshire Health and Human Services Commissioner who has also served as an Assistant Attorney General and as the state’s Homeland Security Coordinator, will work with Ted Gatsas over the next seven weeks to ensure Gatsas is elected Mayor in November.

“I have known Ted Gatsas for years and worked closely with him on a number of critical issues in the State legislature, like welfare reform and keeping our seniors safe,” said Stephen.  “In the race for Mayor of Manchester, I have absolutely no doubt that Ted Gatsas is the candidate who is best prepared and most equipped to lead our city.  As someone who is deeply concerned with keeping taxes low, I know that Ted Gatsas is the one candidate who will fight for meaningful reforms to protect taxpayers, such as a tax cap.  Anyone who cares about the impact of high taxes on the working families and seniors in Manchester should vote for Ted Gatsas this November.”

Gatsas said, “I am proud to have John’s support and look forward to campaigning with him over the next few weeks.”

Stephen is currently a partner at the Boston based Lucas Group, where he serves as a health care and government solutions consultant.

“For the next seven weeks, I will be working closely with Ted, campaigning across the city to ensure that the public hears his message of fiscal responsibility,” added Stephen.  “As a lifelong resident and a former candidate for office, I have a lot of friends across Manchester and I will be asking them to help elect Ted Gatsas Mayor.”
