Manchester Alderman and State Senator Ted Gatsas announced his intentions to run for Mayor of Manchester at City Hall surrounded by supporters.
Sighting his bipartisan leadership on budgets, solutions to the education funding crisis, more favorable utility rates for consumers, tax exemptions for senior citizens, and his work to streamline city and state government, Senator Gatsas said, “The combination of my diverse business experience and local and state government experience will allow me to lead this city and its people at a time when we need leadership most.”
Manchester Repupblican Committe Chairman Will Infantine states that Gatsas will "...make a great Mayor. Alderman Gatsas has a genuine love for the City of Manchester. His passion for and dedication to the City over the years is unapralleled."
The campaign announced that Executive Councilor and former Mayor Ray Wieczorek and long-time Manchester educator and coach Jim Schubert will serve as campaign co-chairs while Hillsborough County Registrar of Probate and former Alderman Bob Rivard will serve as the Fiscal agent. Additional announcements on ward captains and other committee positions are forthcoming.
Senator Gatsas reaffirmed his commitment to resign his N.H. State Senate seat in November if elected the next Mayor of Manchester.
“As a life-long resident Ted understands what makes Manchester great and what needs to be improved in order preserve and protect the community that we have all come to know and love,” said Jim Schubert.
Gatsas concluded by saying, “If I have the honor of being elected to be your next Mayor, my commitment to each and every resident of the Queen City is to provide you with the type of first class representation and constituent service that you are so deserving of.”
